So the last we left off was talking about the extensive ways to keep the Camaro cool. That post was a while ago since I got real busy with work, events, and side projects. Got some free time, so lets catch up. You have seen a lot of customization going into this project so far.

One day a friend of mine called me up saying he has a set of 2nd gen sawblades from a corvette. So I went to test fit them. They looked great on the car, so I bought them. Only one problem.. I got them to work for the test fit with certain lugs, but otherwise I need to get some longer studs for the rears to fit on well. I now actually have 2 sets of them, 1 set is chrome, and the other is brushed aluminum. Along with the stock salad shooters, I now have 3 sets of wheels for this car. 1 set for daily driving during the show and race season, 1 set for racing, and the stock set for the winter set up. Check out how these look on an early 4th gen Camaro.

You will also notice I found a pair of clear corner lenses that make the look that much cleaner. I stumbled upon those and I'm very happy with them even though I swore I would keep the ambers.

This time, I decided I wanted to do some paint work. My car was originally green and black which didn't stand out much if at all. I really liked the look of the white RS. Also flat black was the popular thing around that time so I wanted something different. (As usual) So I put the 2 ideas together and wanted to make it flat white. So I got started. At the middle of painting, I finally got something!! I was extremely excited. After failing and failing at finding the front RS lip, I came across a company that took the RS lip and recreated it to have a more solid design. The old RS lip was a bunch of gaps in the middle and most of these lips were quickly destroyed on the road which is why they are so hard to find or you wont even see them on at all on the actual RS models anymore. So I ordered the front lip and got it in. Finally my lip kit would be completed. Not 100% OEM but a little better. I could be more comfortable with driving when I attached this lip which I was nervous about. Here are the results.

Now unfortunately, that is as far as the paint ever got. She sat in that very spot for about a year before more work started to go into her. The story isn't over, in fact its just starting. Wait for the next post to see what happened to her and what happens next!
